One Thing You Should Know About Me..

I completely and epically fail at keeping up with my blogs.

I start them because I have no life and need a void to fill but then, soon after starting them, life reappears and nothing gets done haha.

"Life happens when you're busy planning other things." or something like that.

I'm just happy that I'm able to stay busy :) I've got 7 more days and it'll be 8 months that my missionary has been out already! Work has been my life saver, I'm a full time Lead Server so my days are spent there and I love it! I'm very grateful to have a job I love.

Christmas is around the corner!! Christmas music is on all the time and it seems to put everyone in such a cheerful mood. Gotta love that :)

I don't listen to the radio. Radios are lame. But just for the sake of finishing this I listened to the radio.. and I'm still right. Radio sucks. They have 6 songs that they like to beat you to death with. Here's one of them.

I hate country. My father and brothers listen to it nonstop and I cannot tell you how many times I've wanted to smash my head into the wall when I hear those whiny songs about lost love, lost dog, my horse is my best friend, I'm a redneck and proud of, it's 5 o'clock somewhere.. gah. So that being said, I absolutely love this song. His voice is sexy, he's VERY easy on the eyes, its a simple love song, and it's happy. A very rare combination in the country genre!

The Night I Went to College =)

This is Miki. I've known Miki since I was 9 and living in Okinawa, Japan. Our families also lived in Beale AFB at the same time too. Moral of this story, Miki has been one of my best friends for like half of my life! I hadn't seen her in 5 freaking years!! Well her family now lives in Almagordo, NM which is only 4 hours away from where my family now lives but she started going to UNM about a month ago. UNM is only about 30 minutes away from me and this last weekend I ended up going to a church dance that was being held at UNM! I wrote on her fb wall in the hopes that maybe she'd see it and we could meet up. She did =) she went to the DJ and had him announce for me to go up to the stage so I could meet up with her, we did the whole cliche thing of screaming like teenage girls and running into each others arms. Totally EPIC! I ended up crashing in her dorm for the night and we spent the entire night and a good portion of the morning catching up with each other. It was amazing, 5 years did nothing to fray our friendship! We had such a blast and I met some of the funniest people ever!

All in all, that was one of the best nights ever!! =D
(oh and the dance totally rocked too. us Mormons sure know how to throw a party!)

A guilty pleasure song? Don't mind if I do! This song had been stuck in my head for months but I could never remember it for the life of me when I would finally sit down at my computer and try to look it up. So I was bouncing out of my seat when I heard it playing on Step Up 3D, which by the way was fantastic haha really the Step Up movies are my guilty pleasure but now this song is forever connected to them =)

21 Guns- Green Day


Ever since the came out with that depressing song about waking up when September ends, they've just gotten worse.. blech. I get that they're trying to be deep and show how much they love their country, but I think they could do it with a much faster tempo.

 Okay so this song doesnt bore me to death, its just super peaceful to listen to and I fell completely in love with it when I moved away from my boyfriend in '09. It reminds me of him everytime I listen to it and that's what relaxes me =) this song is beautiful!

Oh my heavens! I love this song haha my friend Marissa and I became obsessed with it after we snuck in together to watch Slumdog Millionaire, we would sing it ALL the time so naturally I learned all the words to it =)

This song reminds me of all the events that happened when I moved back to AR last November. While some were absolutely terrible and I'd do anything to take them back, there are lots of events and memories that I cherish and can't wait to live again =) I partied to this song when I was happy and I listened to it over and over again when I wasn't. This song will always remind me of those times.

Ah. Whenever I hear this song, it takes me back to my childhood growing up in Utah on Hill AFB, driving home from school singing this song at the top of my lungs with my mom =)

Yes, that's right. I'm not afraid to admit I totally rocked out to Hanson's one hit =) these long haired, girl sounding boys were the Justin Beiber equivalent to my childhood.

A song that makes me happy. Well I could name like 50 right off the top of my head lol I typically choose music that makes me happy, but one lately that makes me smile and do a dance lately is this one:


Shark in the Water- VV Brown

I love VV Brown, her entire album is amazing but this one takes the cake. Don't ask me why I enjoy it so much, I just do. It's one song that no matter what mood I'm in, it cheers me up and gets my hips a shaking haha. Enjoy =)

(btw the degrassi video was the only one I could get but I like her music video better)

Umm Yes Please!

Gah! I want!! I fallen completely head over feet for these Volkswagons... I LOVE them. I am so saving up to buy one, just you wait and see!

My LEAST favorite song. Haha oh I have plenty of those too. But I already know which one is a real "winner" in my book. This song makes me want to find the artist and smack 'em upside the head for being so ridiculous! And how this song got popular is beyond me...

OMG- Usher

How is it that this man has produced hit songs where all he does is repeat the title of the song over and over and over.. He did it with Yeah, and now ladies and gentlemen, he's pushed his artistic boundaries and came up with OMG.

Ugh.

(I don't wish to offend anyone who may love this song or artist, this is just my opinion on it and I don't force on anyone else.)

Let Me Introduce Myself:

Here's some random things about me!

I am LDS. Been it all my life and I couldn't be more greatful for it!

I'm 19 years old and turning 20 very soon. And that thought scares the begeezus outta me.

I don't have a hometown. I'm a miltary brat and have lived all over the place.

I love moving! I love change and chances to reinvent yourself, I can't stand staying in one place longer than 2 years max.

I was homeschooled from 7th grade to 12th. I loved it. While the rest of you folk had to endure cliques, teasings, homework, and petty school things. I slept in till 12, did all of my school work in 4 hours and was able to hangout with you lot once you were finally finished with your homework =). No my social life wasn't nonexisent and I'm not awkward.... well not the kind that makes you go, "ohhhhh she must've been homeschooled".

My absolute favorite colors are yellow and grey.

While I love sunny days, I secretly LOVE rainy, dreary thunderstormy days more =)

I'm a white girl. Seriously. I CAN'T tan to save my life.

No one can ever tell me what exactly my hair color is. It changes everyday I swear. (though it is under the brunette classification haha)

I can't wink, whistle, or roll my tongue.. but the rest of my family can

I'm the only one in my family whose first initial is L. Everyone else is either a D, or J.

Music is a huge part of my life. I get extremely irritated if I can't listen to my Zune.

I will know the lyrics to almost any new song after hearing it twice.

I'm always up for trying something new and/or slightly dangerous.

I love getting lost on roadtrips. Heck I love getting lost period. It's fun.

I will quote funny movie lines to death. They will crack me up everytime. I do it to tv shows too.

If I start a new book or movie and it ends up being completely terrible and cheesy, I can't turn it off. I HAVE to finish it. I always hope that it'll get better. 

My favorite foods are goldfish, sugar snap peas, and fudge. I could live off that stuff!

Hmmm... My favorite song? That is a tough one! What to choose?? Alright my favorite song at the moment is a toss up between Secrets-OneRepublic or Feelings Gone- Basement Jaxx feat. Sam Sparro. Its just impossible to have an all time favorite song for me. So the winner is.....drumroll please....

This band is freaking amazing! I haven't heard a song from them yet that I didn't like. So while Sam Sparro and Basement Jaxx totally rock my socks, I've hearted OneRepublic longer *Sigh* that was hard though.
